I'm just this long-haired weirdo who rides his weirdo bike around. I'm hoping to bike 1000 miles by November 1 of this year. I mostly ride on the W&OD trail, which is about a mile from my house. What kind of weirdo bike do you have?
I have a 24-speed Sun E-Z Sport recumbent bicycle that I bought from the good folks at Bikes @ Vienna. All I can say is I used to like bike riding... now I love bike riding.
What about Milepost 38?
It's on the W&OD about five miles out from me (ten miles if I go out via Kincaid Forest, which I often do), so it's a convenient landmark to turn around at.
What is "pulling a Xydexx"?
"Pulling a Xydexx" means doing something better with my time than arguing with trolls on the internet. It usually involves Going Outside and riding my weirdo bike around, but could also entail hiking or whitewater river tubing or exploring long-forgotten iron-ore mines from the 1800s.
"Pulling a Xydexx" was apparently intended to be some sort of insult. However, I still haven't figured out how to respond to an insult that basically boils down to "HA HA, you're going OUTSIDE!"
Is living well the best revenge?
Absolutely.
